A workshop for practitioners of stage improvisation.

Workshop Description:

At this masterclass we will work on each improviser individually. We will see what are the weaker points that are worth strengthening and realize our superpowers. We will work on binary scenes, which are the essence of any acting (storytelling, games, Armando, etc.). We will work on taking care of ourselves in a scene, making strong decisions and knowing what our character is. I will emphasize the power of the most important question for me in impro, which is: "why?". Why am I here, why was this my reaction, why is my partner doing what he is doing. And why this question will always push us through a scene when we get stuck in it. We will also work on knowing that every scene happens for something - every scene pushes us toward something. We may confess something for the first time, we may meet for the last time, we may redefine ourselves or a relationship. Scenes are not cloggers, every scene is important - and we will keep telling ourselves that.

About the Leader:

Karolina Panczyk - has been involved in comedy for 17 years. On a daily basis she performs in the Comedy Club, in the international impro group 7 Women of Different Ages, in the organization I'MPRO IMPRO and in Niplodrama, with which she creates improvised performances, skits and short films (screened at many national film festivals, awarded, among others, Grand Video Awards). She learned improvisation from coaches in the US, UK, Australia, Canada. She regularly plays at Polish improvisation festivals, including those in Gdansk, Torun, Krakow and Wroclaw, has led workshops and was in the ensemble cast at Improfestival Karlsruhe 2023. She conducts workshops in theatrical improvisation for both companies and theater troupes, and is the author of an improvisation course for the international Improv Learning Center platform, which brings together improvisers from around the world. For 6 years she hosted and created scripts for her own TV shows.

We offer workshops to develop so-called human skills, such as communication, creativity or emotional intelligence, helping people reduce stress, accept change and deal with unpredictable situations.
